How Diamond Painting has taken the world by storm in 2020

The rise (and rise) of Diamond Painting in 2020

Many of you may have noticed how much more popular diamond painting has become in the last year. As a craft, it is one of the fastest-growing hobbies of 2020, and this is evidenced by the many Facebook groups, posts, and shops popping up seemingly everywhere!

Lockdown 2020

The UK, along with many other countries, was locked down in 2020, with people unable to leave their homes, even to go to work, school, or routine appointments. This, along with the Coronavirus crisis, has been the cause of a growing mental health crisis, with upturns in anxiety and depression being worrying trends reported in the media. At the same time, diamond painting began to be mentioned more and more frequently in the popular media, becoming featured for the first time in magazine articles, online articles, on the radio, and even on TV! This has been a real boost to diamond painting's already-astronomical growth in popularity. We think that it really is great that diamond painting can bring such calming influence to these crazy circumstances, and love sharing our craft with new customers!
